QDVC TAKES PART IN QU CAREER FAIR ’18

QDVC participated for the 5th year in a row to the 12th edition of Qatar University (QU) Career Fair, held from 5 to 8 March, 2018.

HE. Dr Issa Saad al-Jafali Al-Nuaimi, with the French ambassador of Qatar Eric Chevallier visited QDVC’s booth, in the presence of Mr. Hamad Al-Marri, Chief Support Services Officer of QDVC.

They discussed the importance of investment in local human resources, and the necessity of attracting graduates and young Qatari talents in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

QDVC IS SPONSORING THE INTERNATIONAL WORKERS’ DAY 2018

The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs celebrated the International Workers’ Day 2018 , to highlight the importance of workers in Qatar and in recognition of their efforts in the development and growth of the country.

QDVC , represented by Hamad Bakhit Al Marri participated for the second time through a sponsoring to this event and was awarded by the Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, H E Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi for the company’s participation and support as a silver sponsor.

QDVC CELEBRATES IFTAR 2018

QDVC organised its annual Iftar gathering on May 30th 2018 at The Mondrian Hotel, for all its employees, with their family’s members.

The annual Iftar reception serves as an informal setting to establish better relations socially among the employees and management while practicing the spirit of sharing and solidarity. Besides the HO, the LRT project organized the iftar for its staff, Clients representatives and partners at Kempinski Hotel. While the RLS JV project organized the same gathering at the Mondarian Hotel on May 29th 2018.

QDVC HONOURS 41 LONG SERVING WORKERS

QDVC, the Qatari construction company with international standards, recently organized on the occasion of eid celebration its annual gathering event at Serge Moulene workers’ community. The event was chaired by the HR director in addition to all the community management

The event started with the management’s celebration of QDVC’s long service, where long service awards were distributed to 41 employees of the company celebrating their length of service and loyalty and contribution to the continued success and growth of the company. Aside from the certificates and commemorative plaques the awardees received commemorative gifts.

Commenting on the awards, Philippe Tavernier, CEO of QDVC said: “Such events are an important part of QDVC’s ongoing engagement with the work force and reflect its continuous efforts to provide them with the best working and living conditions.”

He added: “Our employees are our most important asset. I am delighted to recognize their commitment and loyalty to QDVC and to congratulate them on their long service awards. Their dedication underpins the continuing growth of our company.”

The event included a series of artistic performances, folklore and dances to entertain the 1500 participants. 30 artists performed a big show for more than 4 hours in Hindi, Tamil, Nepali, Punjabi and Bengali. Moreover, three groups of dancers presented several Bollywood and Bhangda dances on Bollywood songs.  Special foods were also arranged for all employees.

QDVC CELEBRATES THE NATIONAL SPORTS DAY 2018 IN LUSAIL

Since the launch of the first National Sport Day in 2012 by His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, QDVC, the local construction company with International standards, has demonstrated it support to the Sports day by organising a corporate event in Lusail at LRT site offices, in continued effort to raise awareness about the importance and value of physical activity to the overall health and well-being of its employees and family members.

The event, organised between 8:30 am and 5 pm, encompassed a wide range of activities including football, basketball, volleyball and cricket tournaments, in addition to petanque, a French game played with steel bowls). Moreover a succession of many other captivating and funny team building activities were planned in parallel for adults and kids to encourage them to undertake physical exercises and strengthen the bonds between team members including face painting and henna stations proved extremely popular for children and women.

Speaking on the occasion Philippe Tavernier, Chief Executive Officer of QDVC said “One of Qatar’s National Vision 2030 primary goals is to encourage and maintain a healthy nation. At QDVC, we strongly support this initiative and have therefore organized various activities to foster awareness for a healthy, fit life-style.”

Awards and medals were offered to winners of the competitions at the end of the day as sign of appreciation.
