Workers’ Long Service Award Ceremony

QDVC has organized its annual gathering event at workers’ community. The event was chaired by the HR director in addition to all the community management.

The event started with the management’s celebration of QDVC’s workers’ long service, where long service awards were distributed to 31 workers, of the company celebrating their length of service and loyalty and contribution to the continued success and growth of the company. Aside from the certificates and commemorative plaques the awardees received commemorative gifts.

Commenting on the awards, Fatima Al-Qaoud , HR Director of QDVC said: “Such events are an important part of QDVC’s ongoing engagement with the workforce and reflect its continuous efforts to provide them with the best working and living conditions.”

QDVC Safety Days 2022

Safety Day(s) is an event organized globally by the Major Projects Division of Vinci where a week is dedicated for Safety. The events aims at bringing together all employees on various projects around the world focusing on a specific health and safety topic. QDVC organized its 9th edition of the Safety Day(s) from 14th -20th May 2022. The theme for the year was “Lifting Slinging” which discussed on the safer and more efficient lifting operations within the projects. Each QDVC projects including Head Office had organized events during the week demonstrating the initiatives taken and sharing the experiences related to lifting.

QDVC organised its annual Iftar gathering on April 12 2022 at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, for all its employees. The annual Iftar reception serves as an informal setting to establish better relations socially among the employees and management while practicing the spirit of sharing and solidarity.

SBTi Certificate – Greenhouse gas emissions reductions’ objectives scope 1, 2 and 3

In August 2020, QDVC has decided to enroll in the VINCI Environmental Ambition2030 and has shared the objectives of greenhouse gas reductions along with the quantification and reporting methodology. In February 2022, the greenhouse gas emissions’ reduction targets set by VINCI was approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). This body validates that the quantification of emissions complies with international methodologies and that our targets are aligned with a “Well below 2 degrees” trajectory. These targets being to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions by 40% for the scopes 1 & 2 andby 20% for the scope 3(upstream and downstream).
